Create and join a couple
The couple system is at the heart of Adeux. A unique 6-digit invite code securely links two accounts together. Here's how it works.
1 Decide who creates the couple
One of you needs to create the couple first. It doesn't matter who does it — both partners will have exactly the same permissions once linked.
2 Create the couple and get the code
The person creating the couple taps "Create a couple". The app generates a unique 6-digit code (for example: 847291). This code is displayed on screen and can be easily copied.
Important: Each code is unique and can only be used once. It expires after a certain time for security reasons.
3 Share the code with your partner
Send the code to your partner. You can:
- Say it out loud — This is the simplest way if you're together.
- Send it via text or messaging app — Copy the code and paste it into your favorite messaging app.
- Use the built-in share button in the app.
4 Join the couple with the code
Your partner opens Adeux, taps "Join a couple", and enters the 6-digit code. The pairing is instant and both accounts are now connected.
5 Set your anniversary date
Once the couple is created, you can set the start date of your relationship. This date is used for the days counter displayed on the home screen. You can change it anytime in the couple settings.
Congratulations! Your couple is now created. All your data — messages, photos, events — is shared only between the two of you, securely and privately.
