Couple Battle: face off against other couples
Couple Battle, Adeux's multiplayer mode
Couple Battle lets you take on couples from around the world through 5 mini-games. Matchmaking is automatic, matches are quick, and every win pushes you up the ELO ranking.
1 Access Battle
Open the Discover ✨ tab and tap the Couple Battle ⚔️ card. If this is your first match, an intro screen walks you through the rules.
2 The 5 mini-games
- 🧠 Quiz — Answer general knowledge questions about couples faster than the other team.
- 🎵 Simon — Memorize and reproduce the sequence of colors and sounds.
- 🎭 Charades — Guess as many words as possible while your partner mimes.
- 🌍 General Knowledge — Battle the other couple on varied trivia questions.
- 🤔 Truth or Bluff — Bluff or tell the truth — your opponent has to guess.
3 Start a match
Tap Find an opponent. The system looks for a couple in your ELO range. A countdown shows while it searches. If no opponent is found after a few seconds, you can try again or invite a couple of friends.
Tip: ask your partner to open Adeux at the same time so the match can start without delay.
4 During the match
Every round is timed. Answers are auto-submitted when the timer ends so no one can stall the match. A banner warns you if you lose connection — the match resumes as soon as you reconnect.
5 ELO system and tiers
Each win or loss adjusts your ELO score. You climb gradually through the tiers — Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond — each with its own badge that opponents can see. A progression animation plays after every battle.
6 Forfeit a match
If you need to leave a battle in progress, you can use the premium forfeit option (Premium subscribers only) to bow out without an ELO penalty. On the free plan, quitting costs you points.
7 Solo couple
Not linked to a partner yet? No problem: a dedicated screen invites you to bring your other half on board to unlock Battle. You can also start by completing your couple profile.
